What sets me apart as a coach is my ability to connect with young athletes and adapt my approach to suit different personalities. I focus on bringing out the best in each player, not just in terms of skill but also character and work ethic. My goal is to develop players who are not only ready to compete beyond high school but are also prepared for the challenges that come with it.
At Del Norte High School, I balanced varsity baseball and golf, demonstrating versatility and commitment. While I played as the fourth man on the golf team, my true passion was always baseball. I wasn’t the biggest player on the field, but I made up for it with a strong baseball IQ, speed, and solid defense. Under the mentorship of a coach who developed major league talent like Tommy Edman, I grew tremendously as a player and developed a deeper understanding of the game.
During my senior year, I transitioned from middle infield to third base, securing a starting position through sheer effort and determination. My dedication—being the first at practice, staying late for extra batting practice, and always hustling on the field—earned respect from both my coaches and teammates.
Although I had the opportunity to play baseball at the Division II level, I ultimately chose to pursue my passion for coaching, which allows me to pass on the values and habits that helped shape my own playing career. Working primarily with the class of 2031, I’ve seen tremendous growth and success among my players.
Currently, I attend California State University, San Marcos, where I’m pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. My aim is to continue growing as both an educator and coach, and to eventually pursue both passions at the high school level.
