
As a Seattle native, Coach Doug was deeply rooted within Northwest Baseball for almost 20 years before moving to San Diego in 2021. As a player, he served as a middle infielder for a Nationally Ranked HS Travel Program (Taylor Baseball) which paved his path to become a four-year letter winner as a middle infielder for the Washington Huskies. As a senior at UW, he was named to the Pac10 All Conference Team, and received the accolades of UW MVP and Gold Glove Award. After college, Doug signed as a free agent with the Chicago Cubs, where he retired after one season. Coach Doug found himself right back on the baseball field as an undergraduate Assistant Coach at the University of Washington, where he served for one season.
As a coach, he has worked with college players, managed high school showcase teams, offered private lessons, and now in the spring time, coaches in two 4SRLL divisions. He brings 10 years of coaching experience to the Hawks organization.
