Hi Everyone, I am Garrett Grant. I grew up in Poway and graduated from Del Norte High School in 2014 where I ran Varsity track all 4 years as well as set the Mile, 800, DMR, and 4x400m school record before going on to run Division 1 Track at Cal Poly SLO.
PR's:
1500: 3:55
800: 1:55
400: :49
Although I switched to track when I got to high school I grew up with a love for baseball that I've maintained through the years with my work as a locally based Sports Chiropractor. As part of my education I wrote a research paper on Tommy John Surgery and pitching mechanics which I apply to the training of my baseball athletes. As a result, arm care is the most important component of training that I emphasize with my athletes. I achieve this by taking an evidence-based and biomechanical approach to coaching.
Before moving back to San Diego after Chiro school I was living in Arlington, VA where I was the Team Chiropractor for the Washington Commanders (NFL), DC United (MLS), and Georgetown University. While covering these teams I was also coaching numerous baseball teams as young as 13U and as old as 18U. I'm proud to say that each year my Little League All-star teams would qualify for the Virginia State tournament.
