Henry played a bunch of sports growing up but immediately fell in love with baseball. He was an all star at PNLL, and quickly transitioned into travel ball. He grew up playing shortstop until the age of 14-15, and then transitioned into 2nd base because of size and arm strength. Henry played a little bit of everything and learned skills at every position except for 1st base. It’s hard being a short right handed player to play there. He prided myself in my defense and made very little errors. He played at Mount Carmel high school where he was still regarded as one of the best defensive infielders. Henry was undersized until my Senior year, where he had the best try out in the entire program. Sadly our season got cancelled because of COVID. Not knowing what to do, he reluctantly took some time off from baseball. Henry couldn’t handle not playing baseball so he began to train in order to train to play at the collegiate level. After months of playing baseball like it was a full time job and some extra, he began playing with Mesa College in the fall. He unfortunately dislocated my shoulder diving into 2nd base, and needed surgery which ended my career, because it was very difficult for me to study Biotechnology at a different school at the same time as recover to get back in baseball shape. Overall as a Coach, Henry believes the biggest areas he can help in are defense, speed/strength, base running, swing mechanics, power production, and mentality training.
