Philip Roe

Director of Player Mentorship / Recruiting Consultant

Picture
Philip Roe is a multi-sport varsity letterman in basketball and baseball, having competed at Lake Washington High School from 2013 to 2018. After earning a scholarship to Columbia Basin College, he played from 2018 to 2020 and went on to compete in the prestigious West Coast League with the Cowlitz Black Bears — a program that also produced MLB All-Star Shane Bieber. Philip graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gonzaga University in 2023 with a degree in Sport Management.

He served as a head coach for Padres Camps in 2022 and became Program Director for the national youth sports organization Skyhawks in 2023. That same year, he was named Puget Sound Region Coach of the Year and was a national Coach of the Year nominee. From September 2023 to February 2024, he signed a contract to play semi-pro baseball in Western Australia, where he also worked as the club’s Junior Development Officer, coaching players ages 5–18, running holiday camps, and implementing an arm care routine across the organization. Philip previously trained at Driveline Baseball alongside high-level talent including Shohei Ohtani, Hector Neris, and over 20 Philadelphia Phillies minor leaguers. His personal playing record since 15U stands at an impressive 281-138-5 — a reflection of his ability to build winning cultures and strong team chemistry wherever he goes.

Philip Roe is an exceptionally talented young man and coach, distinguished by his well-rounded character and professionalism. I have observed numerous examples of Philip’s leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities, and I have been consistently impressed by his focus, diligence, and strong work ethic. Over time, I have watched him develop from a dedicated student-athlete into a capable mentor, coach and sports management organizer and facilitator. Philip demonstrates outstanding leadership, organizational aptitude, and interpersonal skills, and he can manage multiple responsibilities effectively while delivering consistently positive results.

As a military veteran, a baseball coach with 46 years of experience, and as a construction executive, I have had the opportunity to lead and mentor many young men and women. Based on this experience, I place Philip Roe among the highest percentile of young leaders I have mentored, with respect to character, technical competence, and soft skills.
