Travel Ball Age: Players who will still be 10 years old on April 30, 2027.
We support multi-sport athletes. If your player is involved in club soccer or another activity, please don't hesitate to reach out so we can discuss flexible options for them.

San Diego Hawks 10U Program
It is the 10-year anniversary of our program and it is time to level up one more time!
Hawks Founder and Coach, Mark Strauch, will direct and coach as part of the 10U program.
We will have 2 competitive, separate teams at the 10U level. Final team formation will take place by early September, enabling new and returning players to compete/improve during the Summer and into the early part of our Fall season. Our SUMMER PROGRAM is open to all players, and a great opportunity to improve.
We want coachable, athletic players with great families who are a fit for our program.
The expectations are high in our program.
If either the organization or the player/family feel like the Hawks and our 10U program is not a great fit, we encourage open communications and making a change if it is the best interest of either party.
Direct communication with Coach Mark with feedback, ideas or concerns is part of our baseball culture, so we can all work together to create the best possible experience and player development environment for our players.
Our 10U program season will include games and tournaments, all leading towards a Spring Training experience in March where our players will compete in Arizona while also getting a chance to experience MLB Spring Training.
Our full program season starts in August, but we have a complete set of flexible baseball events open to all players during the Summer leveraging our exclusive facility (The Nest Baseball Academy) and field access.

- He will focus most of his on-field time teaching winning baseball strategy/technique to our players/coaches during in-game competition.
- He will ensure his youth player development program is implemented through optimized practices plans, coach training and direct oversight of game/tournament strategy.

- Your player has to want to get better and need to exemplify that with their focus/coachability.
- We teach a high Baseball IQ style of game play, and the game of baseball must hold your player's focus and interest.
- Your player must be a great teammate, and understand that failure is part of the game. But we also understand they are 9 or 10-year-old kids!

David Silva - Coach
- Coach David Silva has been coaching youth baseball and softball for the past 8 years, helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. A former varsity baseball player, David was the starting shortstop during his junior and senior years of high school.
- In softball, he coached All-Star teams at The Ranch for 3 years, helping lead teams to three USA Softball SoCal State Championship appearances and one Western National Championship appearance. In baseball, he has coached at 4S Ranch Little League, where his team won the AA Championship.
- Known for his positive coaching style, focus on fundamentals, and passion for player development, Coach David is dedicated to helping young athletes improve both on and off the field.
Kal Miller - Coach, Pitching Specialist
- LHP for 3 seasons at Folsom Lake College and played high school baseball at De La Salle.
Carson Power - Coach, Fielding and Small Ball Specialist
- Carson plays baseball at Del Norte High School, and will graduate in 2028.
- He is a middle infielder and has outfield experience, and plans to play college baseball beyond his high school journey.
- He has a very high baseball IQ and his fundamental skills are top notch, creating a great example for our young players.
- Carson came up through our San Diego Hawks program, and now plays in our high school program - 5 Star SD (Central) around the high school season.
