SEASONS
Our Fall season allows new and returning players to play on competitive teams, and come together as families and teammates.
Our Winter season will start after Thanksgiving weekend, and include additional tryouts as we expand to three (3) teams. At this time, we move into our more competitive season (additional tournaments) where players can shift up and down based on their development needs, and performance during our Fall program.
Spring season starting in February --- we will be Little League friendly, and move to Sundays only with optional training opportunities offered.

TEAMS & COACHES
Both teams will be competitive, and play in tournaments. If any players are not making the commitment to a higher level of play, we will work with the family to help the player improve and make adjustments to rosters to ensure competitive play, if necessary.
An important note about coaches and the program: San Diego Hawks and personally, Mark Strauch, are responsible for making sure each team understands and is able to coach the Hawks Way, which comes from almost a decade of focused attention / study of what is most important when developing young baseball players. We understand your questions and concerns, and that is some ways, every team or program you join is a leap of faith. But the reputation of the club and it's founder are what they are because we live our "baseball family" message and culture. We are accessible, we learn from our mistakes, we work together with families and players to hold all parties accountable, with the best interest of the players at the forefront of everything we do. Whether it be our paid coaches or experienced dad coaches, we train them to teach our program, to not favor players based on factors like name or friendship, and ensure our baseball culture is central to what they do on and off the field. We believe in a positive coaching style, where we let the kids play and learn multiple positions, but also reward attitude, hard work and coachability with extra opportunities.
In other words, whoever your coaches are, they will be trained in our next level youth player development program, that we believe is
second to no one in San Diego.
