9U - San Diego Hawks Baseball

Note: Players officially "age up" Labor Day weekend, but within Hawks Baseball we consider the new age program to begin in August with our Fall program.

We have space for 38 players in our 9U program.

9U (Prime)

• Our returning 8U (Prime) team is one of the best teams in San Diego and has been playing up in 9U all Spring.
• This is an invitation only team. If your player is one of the best in San Diego with a history of success competing against strong competition, please reach out for more information.
• This is our more advanced team that has demonstrated success at the D2 level and can compete at the Majors (D1) level.

9U (Gold/Navy)

• Our Gold teams can compete at the D2 level and will win tournaments at the D3 level.
• The 26 committed players in our Gold/Navy program will compete into August and the program will select the best possible team to become our 9U (Gold) team to compete at a high level. The remaining players will make up our 9U (Navy) team, that will also be competitive and be structured in a way that rewards the higher performing players on that team. Our teams at every age group (and color) are better than ever before as our program attract the best players / families from across the region.
• For the 9U (Navy) team, players that are behind in terms of skills development based on defined metrics will get less playing time in games, to support a competitive environment for games against other programs.
