Spring Baseball Program (February - May)
** We have a plan for all of our Hawks families and players! Find the information specific to your player below...
12U - 14U
Full Baseball Program
For all of our older teams, we make travel ball the priority as players get closer to competing in high school baseball. Some players may choose to play Little League to get extra reps, but our goal is to get players ready for high school baseball and beyond (not the priority for rec baseball). We do make accommodations for All Stars.
For many 12U players, the Spring season is their ramp up to a Summer Cooperstown experience trip and tournament.
12U players can opt into our Flex Baseball Program (like our 7U - 11U players). Just let the organization know.

Flex Baseball Program
Focus on Sunday game action and 1 day tournaments, with flexible weekday training options.
After a full, active program January, we start to transition to a more flexible program in February for many of our teams.
For our younger players --- Hawks Baseball always has and always will support local community-based baseball (Little League, PONY), including the All Stars experience. We will design our program around that support and are also an active sponsor for multiple local leagues. Having said that, we also believe that our younger Hawks players should have the option to continue to participate in our full next level player development program in the Spring too!
Here are the simple logistics:

Here are the simple logistics:
- Update Availability whether your player is attending, or not.
- Team events will be invoiced at month's end. Monthly total (excluding camps / tournaments) will not exceed monthly dues.
- Practices on the field or at The Nest are $20 per.
- Games with an umpire are $30 per. 50% if your player is a guest player with another Hawks team for extra reps.
- Open Hitting at The Nest is $10 per.
- Camps / tournaments / lessons, etc. --- are separate.
Baseball Practice & Redline Training (Next Level)
We are always evolving the training that we deliver at The Nest including our partnership with Redline Athletics for training around speed, agility and strength. These are critical pieces of the development of a complete baseball athlete.
Spring 2025 Redesign
Spring 2025 Redesign
- 2 Hour Team Training will consist of an hour of baseball training utilizing BOTH the turf / pitching lane area AND the two main batting cages. This will allow participants to spread out and enable more reps for our players. The other hour will be Redline Training (with added Arm Care & Injury Prevention --- see below).
- 90 Minute Team Training will be 45 minutes of baseball training and 45 minutes of Redline Training.
- Half the group will do Redline Training first and other half, second --- and then switch halfway through.
- With our flex program (8U - 11U) giving players options, 2 or 3 teams are part of the same group training. Players from the same team will typically be grouped together to ensure that team building and fun factor, for the kids.
- Coaches may vary week to week for these baseball workouts.
Arm Care & Injury Prevention
Powered by Catalyst PT
As part of our Spring Program we have partnered with Catalyst to design an arm care and injury prevention routine to the end of our Redline Training @ The Nest. They have designed the last 5 minutes of our 45 minute Redline sessions, and the last 10 minutes of our hour sessions.

Is the Spring Program Open to New Hawks Players?
Yes!
The success of the San Diego Hawks baseball program is in large part because of referrals we get for new players and other great families to become a part of our baseball family. If you have heard about our Hawks program and are interested in joining, please reach out today.
